Rodney Bradford , COPLINE Honorary Advisor -

Senior Investigator Rodney Bradford is a thirty-one (31) year veteran of Police work, encompassing involvement with local, county, state, federal and international police agencies.  Rod started his career with the Wallingford, (CT) Police Department as a Patrolman in 1974. He spent two (2) years working undercover with the Connecticut Statewide Narcotics Task Force from 1977 to 1979. 

In 1985, he took a position with the Ocean County, (NJ) Prosecutors Office, as an investigator.  He was later assigned to the Organized Crime and Intelligence Unit.
He spent twenty (20) years working within the Special Operations arena of Police work, having assisted or handled logistical, budgetary, training and operational needs of a twenty (20) person unit.

Throughout Rod’s career, he has received over 40 awards and letters of commendation for his work.  Rod is a long time member and participant with the National Technical Investigators Association, becoming one of its National Presidents. He was an original member of the State and Local advisory group which worked with the FBI, on CALEA nationwide electronic surveillance issues.  He has testified before the FCC on the future needs of court ordered electronic surveillance.  Rod has taught and setup police training classes on the local, county, state and federal levels. In his career, Rod has always looked for original and new ways of supporting police officers and investigations. This has been his passion and his mission, which he always strove to do daily.
           
However, it did not come without a price. Years of stress and expanding responsibilities, took its toll, mentally, physically, with his family and personal life. Though it was not an easy thing to do, Rodney sought help to deal with these problems and his impending retirement.   He is now helping Copline, as it continues to strive at helping American police officers to deal with work and stress issues.  It is an honor for him to be a member and a part of Copline future.
